Council delays the vote on the downtown water line
Public works asked for another week to finish cost figures for the Main Street replacement.
Council members postponed a decision on the downtown water line after the public works director said the final cost estimate was still moving. The project would replace an aging main under Main Street between the highway and the civic center.
Shop owners said they can live with a short closure if the city publishes the detour before work starts. The vote is back on the agenda for the next regular meeting.
